OUR APPROACH TO PRIVACY
Churchie Emerging Art Exhibition Committee ("CEAEC") respects your privacy.
We are bound by the National Privacy Principles, and we would like to let you know what information we collect and how we will protect your privacy in accordance with the legislative requirements.
What we collect
We collect personal information when we provide our services to you or you require us to collect information on your behalf. Generally, if appropriate, we will tell you why we are collecting personal information and how we plan to use it or these things will be obvious when we collect the information.
Where you are an individual, we usually collect personal information such as your contact details, job title or position, your membership of professional associations or boards, your expertise and interests and, where relevant, financial information and family details. Other relevant types of obvious information are collected where you are an organisation, such as a company, trust or partnership.
If we collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) it will usually be for the purposes of providing our services and, if the law requires us to, we will seek your consent to collect it. By acknowledging our retainer you agree to provide that consent.
The kinds of personal information we collect and hold will depend upon the services you request from us. However, it may include:
· Information you give us when you instruct us to act for you or request another service from us (such as when you respond to an invitation to attend a seminar). This information will include your name, address and contact details
· Information about individuals we collect in the course of acting for artists; and
· Communications between you and us.
Right to access (and correction)
You have a right to access (and to correct if necessary) most personal information that the CEAEC collects and holds about you. If you would like more information about the way we manage personal information which we hold about you, or are concerned that we may have breached your privacy and wish to make a complaint, please contact us.
Changes to our privacy policy
From time to time it may be necessary for us to review and revise our privacy policy. We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time.
